“How the city became our runway”
It all begins with an idea.
Fié Brand Presents “Runway in the City”
Organizing a fashion show can be gratifying, yet it’s not a straightforward task. After participating in several shows, I felt motivated to coordinate my own. However, things didn’t go as planned. Due to limited time and budget, I had to explore alternative and more efficient methods to present my collection.
“The city streets are free”
On May 16, 2019, I organized my first “Runway in the City” event. 10 ravishing models graced the streets of Downtown New Orleans, showcasing my designs from my SS19 “Colors Collection". Throughout the event, business cards were distrubuted; both tourists and locals were able to experience the garments up close, interact and capture moments with the models and myself. The entire city walk through was a resounding success, garnering significant attention for Fié Brand.
“Thanks to the talented professional photographers Shabazz and Katherine Berroa who beautifully documented the occasion”
“The Colors Collection”
Our stage is the urban landscape.
The “Colors Collection” draws its inspiration from a book titled “Auras”, a precious gift received during a significant period of my life. It revolves around the belief that genuine happiness is sought by all. Through the vibrant and joyful use of colors, my collection becomes an embodiment of exuberance and delight.
My intention is for the energy to uplift people, bringing smiles to their faces, encouraging them to embrace happiness regardless of circumstances, and empowering them to feel both confident and content.
In 2019, the Colors Collection made appearances at four events: The Raw Artists Fashion Show, Acadiana Fashion Week Season 3, Dallas - World of the Arts Festival, and Fié Brand’s inaugural “Runway in the City”.
“Coming to a city near you”
Wherever the wind takes us.
“This year for me is all about balance, due to covid we’ve lost friends, we’ve lost family, jobs, and some of us even lost ourselves”
In May 2021, Fié Brand hosted its second “Runway in the City” event in New Orleans, showcasing the “Colors + Balance Collection”, which drew inspiration from its earlier Colors Collection.
“Special thanks to videographer Arnold Burke and photographer Dominique Andre for skillfully capturing those moments”
After years of dreaming it, eventually I made the move from my hometown New Orleans to the bustling streets of NYC. Taking some time off to adjust to the new environment and discover my true calling, I have rediscovered my passion for creating and I’m eager to make my grand return.
I aim to present collections featuring creatives and artists from various major cities. Keep an eye out for our upcoming “Runway in the City.”
